No.25 is jointly owned by Andrew & Jennie Willmott and Alan & Gaynor Castle.

We decided to buy a property in South Africa after spending several holidays there together, travelling all over the country but always ending up in Somerset West for relaxation time before flying home.

We are independent travellers, and make all our own accommodation and flight arrangements, avoiding hotels at all costs, except where little alternative exists. In the past we have stayed in a friend's holiday home in Somerset West, which became our second home as well, but over time we came to see that the property had, for us, some shortcomings that we had no power to fix. From there it was short step to "Why don't we get a place of our own?", and so the decision was made in 2004.

No.25 is very much first and foremost our holiday home, not an investment, and we have been instrumental in adapting the original architects design to suit what we wanted and in furnishing the house in such a way that it is home from home yet easy to maintain. The result is a luxuriously comfortable light and airy house on a prime secure country estate in some of the most stunning landscape you will ever have seen.

We know that if you choose to share our holiday home with us for only a short while, you will enjoy it as much as we do.
